Whole sentences

The last step is to type real text: whole sentences, with capitals, spaces and punctuation.

A sentence puts everything you have learned to work at once. Shift comes at the start, a comma in the middle and a full stop at the end, and between them the hand has to find its way back to the home position.

In the game the first player to finish forty lines wins, and since a wrong letter costs time, accuracy is worth as much there as it is here.

Practise

Once the sentences come without pauses, it is time for the game. There you also get opponents and a clock, and handling them is a skill of its own.
